While recently in Toronto, I had my first visit to Hotel X Toronto, which is a Library Collection Hotel. The Library Collection consists of four properties worldwide including New York, Budapest, Prague and now, Toronto. The Toronto property is fairly new and it was evident in many aspects of the property.

The stay got off to a great start with a pleasant greeting by the valet staff. Once the car was taken care of, it was time to check in. The front desk staff were also very warm and considerate. Hotel X Toronto is located a bit out of the city center but convenient nonetheless. There were parts of the hotel’s lobby which I appreciated and others I thought could have fit together better.
For the stay, I tried out a Library Club Corner King Studio Room which was sized at approximately 500 square feet. I liked the way the colorful furniture contrasted with the gray-scale used in a majority of the room. As the hotel is new, all of the features were also modern. From the coffee machine, to the outlets, to the TV, everything was high-tech and functioned flawlessly.
The bathroom was small yet impressive and featured a shower stall without a bathtub. The toiletries offered were of high quality. I overheard other guests in the elevator speaking about the strong water pressure in the showers, let’s just say that you can really enjoy the shower head’s massage setting!
As you can tell by the name, the room included Library Club Lounge access. Hotel X Toronto’s Library Club Lounge offers a continental breakfast and evening hors d’oeuvres with alcoholic beverages. The Library Club Lounge is spacious and comfortable, a great place to relax or get work done. Overall, the selection of food was quite good during the day but the alcoholic beverage selection was a bit modest. As the hotel was new, some of the lounge employees might require a bit more training. Overall, I enjoyed the lounge.
Besides the rooms, one of the best features of Hotel X Toronto is its sport facilities. They include a sprawling fitness center, tennis courts, squash courts and more! I was told there were steam rooms also but they weren’t operational during my visit. Regardless, I absolutely loved the gym!
Hotel X Toronto also has a fantastic rooftop pool and sky bar. The views from the Falcon SkyBar offers breathtaking views of the Toronto skyline!
As far as the property is concerned, Hotel X Toronto scores well. Even though a majority of the service was satisfactory, there were a few slight kinks that needed to be worked out, I’m sure this will come with time. My favorite features of Hotel X Toronto were the Falcon SkyBar, rooftop pool, Library Club Rooms and the giant fitness center. All in all, Hotel X Toronto has a lot to offer and is definitely a great hotel in Toronto, I would be happy to visit again. Happy travels!
