During my first visit to Manila, I stayed at the beautiful Ascott Makati. I enjoyed it so much that when I returned to Manila a few months later, I sought out another Ascott property located in Bonifacio Global City aka BGC. BGC is a very modern city in Manila with a lot to offer, mostly in the luxury spectrum. Whether it’s diverse shopping, delicious food (both foreign and local), or lovely hotels 5 star hotels such as Ascott, BGC has it!

My stay at Ascott Bonifacio Global City Manila started with a friendly airport transfer. I was picked up at the airport by the gracious Ascott hotel staff and whisked away to the property, which took only about 20 minutes at night. Upon arrival I had a very efficient in-room check-in where I learned about the property and also had a choice of several varieties of pillows.
This was truly a massive suite! For my stay, I secured a 1-bedroom executive apartment. The front door opens up into the kitchen, which is very extensive. Inside there is a clothes washing machine, and everything one would need to prepare and enjoy a meal such as an stove, refrigerator, pots and pans, tableware, utensils, espresso machine, tea kettle, and more! Thank you Ascott for supplying ice cream and beer.
On the dining room table was a hefty spread of welcome amenities including a dessert, snacks, and lots of sparkling water. Thank you again Ascott for all the incredible gifts, I really do appreciate it!
On a side note, I really appreciate that Ascott is doing things to help the environment such as promoting sustainable products instead of plastic. Along with all the snacks, they gifted me a ceramic cup with metal straw, packet of metal straws, as well as a set of reusable cutlery. All intended to limit the use of single-use plastic, which I completely support. My next suggestion would be to get rid of the plastic bottles in all hotels.
Just beyond the dining room area is the massive living room with comfortable sofa and large television.
In the bedroom there is another large television, comfortable working desk and chair, lounge chair, and a great view of the Bonifacio Global City. The bedding was comfortable and I did get a very good sleep. Actually, speaking of the bed, Ascott offers in-room massages. The masseuse was a true professional and gave me 60 minutes of heaven, Swedish style. Now I’ve had in-room massages at both Ascott properties in Manila and each was lovely! Such a treat to not have to leave the room.
A very impressive feature of this 1-bedroom executive apartment is the gorgeous bathroom. There is a very large standalone tub, shower stall, and giant vanity. I loved the lighting in the bathroom as well. Where Ascott goes above and beyond the competition was offering little extras such as face cream and lip balm. Just what I was looking for!
On the second floor of the Ascott Bonifacio Global City Manila is where the breakfast is served. There is a large food spread with lots of Filipino and international items to choose from. What I loved most were the items to add to my congee, Indian mango pickle, cappuccino, and super sweet fresh fruit! I greatly enjoyed my breakfast during all the days of my visit. Filipino hospitality is quite powerful. I was impressed by how everyone knew my name and even my drink order from the first day. Well done!
The gym and pool are located on the seventh floor of the Ascott Bonifacio Global City Manila. The pool is a rooftop pool and a great pool for swimming laps. They also have a hot tub, and a poolside bar and restaurant where I enjoyed a very lovely dinner. I got to try their flank steak, surf and turf quesadillas, and lovely strawberry shortcake. Everything was tasty along with great service!
The gym has lots of equipment including tons of treadmills. In the changing rooms their are also dry saunas. The gym staff and personal trainers were always around to offer their help.
For guests that stay at the Ascott Bonifacio Global City Manila for longer than 30 days the property sometimes rewards them with added perks such as providing a personal chef for an in-room dinner. During my stay, I was able to try out this perk and must say, I quite enjoyed myself! For dinner two chefs came to prepare soup, salad, salmon, and dessert! Everything turned out to be quite tasty, especially considering all that had to be done. Well done chef Albert Famularcano and Rachelyn!
Another visit to Manila and another fantastic Ascott property! The Ascott Bonifacio Global City Manila really does have it all. This is a 5 star luxury hotel with everything needed for extended stays. The service was very personalized and warm and I really enjoyed staying in Bonifacio Global City! I truly can’t find any faults with this property or its service! Go go go!
