Looking to live the boss life? While staying at the beautiful Intercontinental hotel in Bucharest, Romania, I decided to try their Sunday brunch.
It was a rainy day, but I didn’t mind because I was staying in, drinking champagne and eating food all day long! The dining room is beautiful. It has lots of windows which let in a great amount of light. It was the Easter holiday and you could easily tell because there were so many people. It’s a very large dining room and is partitioned off with glass dividers which give a sense of privacy but you can still people watch easily. Don’t worry you creepers.
The first thing that caught my eye was the plethora of desserts. There was a pyramid of macarons! Of course they had a giant chocolate fountain as well. Intercontinental does a really great job at food presentation as you can tell by this spread. Look at these photos!
The next thing I noticed, were all of the small tasting dishes. There were loads of different types including seafood, egg, salad and the list goes on. I loaded up a few plates and retreated to the consumption area a.k.a. the table.
Once I plowed through all of the delicious food in the first round, I made my way back to the buffet line to find the fresh seafood. A nice woman offered to cook me some lobster with cheese, it was a pure delight.
Throughout the entire brunch, there was free-flowing champagne. I was drinking the stuff like I was in the desert for weeks and hadn’t had any nourishment. I was just throwing glasses of champagne back like nothing. This is the perfect recipe for Pierre’s heaven. Perfect life.
The food was great, but it was time to get to those beautiful desserts. A majority of them tasted as good as they looked. My favorite was the tiramisu. I accompanied this with an espresso which really hit the spot!
After the incredible brunch, I made my way up to the 22nd floor to spend some time running it all off. I ran 10 kilometers in an hour and basically erased the meal, which was perfect. Boss life.
Pierre has been around the block. I’ve tried so many brunches and somehow I knew I wouldn’t be disappointed with the Intercontinental Bucharest. The service was fantastic, the food was delicious and the ambiance was wonderful! All in all, if you’re looking for a great brunch while in Bucharest, Romania you must visit the Intercontinental hotel!
