I had the pleasure of visiting the Hilton while on my recent visit to Toronto. The Hilton is very centrally located in the financial district. It’s in a very busy and exciting area, with lots of action. Tons of restaurants nearby which made Pierre very happy.

After checking in, I proceeded up to the 31st floor to see my room. Upon entering the room, I was very pleased to see the quality. A great desk, comfortable chair and of course a beautiful bed. The room is huge and feels very spacious. The view is overlooking the historical Osgoode Hall which was built in 1829. My room is also just one floor below the Hilton club lounge. Lucky for me, there is a private stairwell from my floor to the 32nd floor which gave me quick access to the lounge.
After getting all settled in, I decided to go check out the rest of the hotel. The first stop on my tour was the gym and pool area. Neither the gym or pool areas were monitored by staff, simply enter your key card and you’re in. The gym was large with lots of equipment. There were no shortage of treadmills and the gym was a great place to workout. They have a heated outdoor pool on the roof which can even be used even in the wintertime! That being said, I have to admit that the locker rooms could use an update.
Of course with the executive lounge being only a floor above, I spent some time there. The executive lounge is large and offers tons of seating. In a very comfortable place to work and you’ll be able to see lots of the city including the CN Tower. There is a bit more to be desired for the lounge breakfast as well as the evening offerings. Refreshments and food are quite limited and there is a fee for alcoholic beverages.
I decided to have breakfast at their Tundra restaurant on the ground floor after having a dinner there the night before. This was a complete breakfast buffet with everything that I wanted. You’ll have to read about my Tundra dinner experience in a separate article. Overall, the food at breakfast was solid!
My stay at the Hilton Toronto was smooth. I have to commend the front desk and Tundra staff for being true professionals. As I mentioned earlier, some areas could use a few improvements such as the locker rooms and executive lounge, but the other areas were in order. My favorite part of the entire experience was eating at their Tundra restaurant and if I were you, that is where I’d focus my time!
