The Manila Marriott is part of Resorts World which is a development of casinos, hotels, restaurants, bars, and other venues such as the Marriott Grand ballroom, Newport Performing Arts Theater, and the Newport Mall. This massive complex is located just across the street from the airport. Although it’s conveniently near the airport, while staying at the Manila Marriott I felt a world away. I think it’s because I never heard planes and my room faced the golf course which made it feel like I was in the countryside. For my stay, I secured a room on the West Wing of the Marriott Manila which is also where the Marriott Executive Lounge is located.

The Marriott Premium Room was styled in the typical Marriott fashion, which is modern, stylish and comfortable. Lots of space to stretch out and featured a table with two chairs, and a couch. I’m a forever fan of Marriott bedding, it was very comfortable indeed. Once again, the view of the golf course was very delightful.
The welcome amenity were two mangoes.
The bathroom of this Premium Room featured a window into the rest of the room, a bathtub, shower stall, toilet stall and Marriott toiletries. All in all, it was a very efficient and comfortable room.
The Manila Marriott offers two rooftop pools, one being on the West Wing and one on the main portion of the hotel. The West Wing pool is much quieter than the main pool and a great place to relax with a lovely view. Just next to the pool is the gym which is quite spacious, lots of quality equipment and fairly quiet. The nearby changing rooms had a steam room and dry sauna. These facilities were all very comfortable but fairly bare-bones.
The Marriott Executive Lounge can be found on the West Wing’s second floor. In the Executive Lounge you will find a generous continental breakfast, afternoon tea, evening hors d’oeuvres, evening alcoholic drinks, and evening snacks afterwards. This Executive Lounge was absolutely massive! It was very comfortable and the food and drink were tasty. However, I felt like they could have used a little bit more staff to manage this massive space.
The breakfast at the Executive Lounge was overall lovely. There were several egg options to order a la carte along with a wide variety of buffet items. My personal recommendation would be to try the Eggs Benedict which was superb!
During my stay, I got to enjoy the Marriott Cafe’s dinner buffet. This turned out to be an absolutely incredible way to sample tons of local Filipino Cuisine. In addition, to local fare, they had tons of other types of food to offer including Italian, Indian, Japanese, and Western. All food was of great quality with a lovely atmosphere and service. Great value for money also!
The Manila Marriott is very convenient and has a lot to offer. My stay was comfortable and the property had everything that I needed. The location made it a fantastic property for coming and going from the airport. I would be happy to return again to the Manila Marriott!
