There is a massive development just across the street from the Manila Airport which houses several hotels. During my first visit to the Philippines I tried a stay at the Belmont Hotel located in this complex known as Resorts World Manila. Resorts World is a development of casinos, hotels, restaurants, bars, and other venues such as the Newport Performing Arts Theater, and the Newport Mall. I visited during Holy Week which made it quite busy with families. If you can, visit the Philippines when it’s not a major holiday, live and learn. I arrived early in the afternoon and was smoothly checked and by the friendly staff.

For my stay at Belmont Manila, I secured a room overlooking the airport. Don’t worry, even being this close, there was no noise issue from the planes. I enjoyed looking out over all of the activity below, I felt like an air traffic controller. The room was small and efficient, with almost everything I needed. The bedding was comfortable and soft. There was a kettle with instant coffee. I did like that they used glass bottles instead of plastic to be more eco-friendly. Too many hotels waste way too much plastic!
The bathroom was also rather small and had the bare essentials with shower stall.
Up one floor for my room you could find the Belmont Manila’s rooftop pool and bar.
The breakfast occurred on the ground floor in their restaurant. There was a large buffet with a decent amount of options as well as made to order egg station.
What I enjoyed most was room service breakfast. The staff were very punctual, arriving right at 10:00am which I requested!
In the evening I ate a dinner at their restaurant as well. I was in the mood for a burger so tried their blueberry burger which was very unique. I also really love the sour Sinigang soup so ordered it as well. During my stay they had an extensive buffet.
Up one floor from the breakfast area and lobby is the gym and spa area. The gym was surprisingly well-equipped and included a dry sauna and steam room. The sauna was nice and hot, really a great feature of the property. Just around the corner also on the second floor was a courtyard with lots of greenery.
The level of service was the best feature of this property. In summary, it is a fairly straight forward and economical property very conveniently located to the Manila Airport.
