Last updated on April 22nd, 2025

Pierre likes to experience it all! Whether it’s fantastic food, exotic destinations or a new experience I’m all about pushing the limits. The designs of the Porto Bay Liberade hotel in Lisbon, Portugal are just that. They have an amazing property that is really gorgeous and a fantastic switch-up from the normal large hotel chains!

The hotel does a fantastic job of blending old Portuguese architecture with a modern and chic design. Let’s start with something very notable. It is their pool and spa area. It’s not so often that you see a pool that is so stunning! Also, part of the design is very intuitive which is the windows that are easy to open in the summertime turning the indoor pool into a semi-outdoor pool. If anything about this hotel left a strong memory it is this area of the hotel.

In the lobby I really appreciated the styling as well. Look at the furniture! I would also like to add that it is very comfortable.

Let’s move into the rooms which are very beautiful! They are very clean and have fantastic style. I love the modern minimalist style that they use throughout the hotel.

The bathrooms have beautiful fixtures. I love the bathtub/shower that has three different options for water usage. The staff have also been quite warm and happy to assist with my needs. The hotel is quite centrally located and nearby you can find a high-end shopping district as well as tourist attractions just a stones throw away.

All of this touring around the city has left Pierre quite hungry. Lucky for him there is a fantastic restaurant and breakfast offering in their Bistro4 restaurant! They have a plentiful amount of Pastel de Nata which are the famous Portuguese pastry which I’ve fallen in love with.

It has come time to check out but I have truly enjoyed my time at the hotel. The facilities will be burned into my memory for years to come. The staff have been very wonderful throughout my stay and I would highly recommend that if you’re looking for a unique luxury experience in Portugal you pay a visit to the Porto Bay Liberade hotel!
